FIORI IN PRIMAVERAIn my work I want to represent the potential, evanescent and delicate beauty of nature, flowers. I decide working in red, yellow and blue- green, because in Chinese culture, red symbolizes good fortune and joy, blue-green represents nature, renewal, spring. Yellow , corresponding with Earth, generates Yin and Yang, implies that yellow is the center of everything, and was the color of Imperial China. Working with small size of crystals,I try to reproduce the sensual round silhouette of petals and lives. I used Rose Satin , Ceylon Topaz,Montana,Saphire AB, Swarovski crystals 4mm Bi-cone, Montana Swarovski crystals 6mm Bi-cone,Golden Shadow Swarovski flat briolette, and Silver nickel.Rating: 860 (295 Votes )

Zhàn fàng (Blooming)Inspired by Chinese Flower Paintings and Traditional Textiles, each flower carries its own particular symbolism based on the plant’s health, heartiness, delicacy and colour, among other factors. So, there are special rituals regarding the giving of flowers as gifts. Different flowers are to be given for different occasions. Flowers can be compared to almost all thoughts and feelings of human being. They can symbolize feminine beauty, virtues, and political authority. The lotus flower is one of the most famous flower species in China, and has been the most favoured one for hundreds of years. The exquisite flower is huge in size, bright in colour, fragrant in scent, and extremely adaptive. Untouched by any impurities, the lotus symbolizes purity of the ...

Lotus in the rainThe ancient China is characterized with magnifience. Brilliant embroidered materials, the colours and the way as they were worn. The Chinese art was almost one with the nature. That’s what I wanted to represent. Wet lotus flower in the light rain what I have seen. I tried to illustrate this scene on this headdress. Used materials: Swarovski Bicones, Pendants, Cabochons, Butterfly beads, Hotfix strass. I used lots of Crystal Metallic Blue for the lotus. Aquamarine and Crystal AB are symbolize the rain, they are mostly on the boat. The material of the boat is Chinese satin. I used less amount of Rose, Dark Red Coral, Siam AB, Caribbean Blue Opal, Light Topaz, Grey Opal and other colours. Metal is also ...Rating: 607 (228 Votes )

The Garden of FairiesThe theme of this competition, the words “enchanted, mystical, delicate” instantly reminded me of lace and fairies. I wanted to create something with the fragility of lace and I thought I would achieve this effect by wrapping and weaving silver wire. Every bit of this necklace was handmade using 0.25, 0.3 and 0.8 mm silver jewellery wire. I wanted the Swarovski crystals to embellish and accentuate – not overwhelm - the delicate flower and leaves framework, so I only used two contrasting colors: 8mm Petrol blue Swarovski pearls and Siam satin bicone crystals. The small amount of satin red puts excitement into the dreamy silver and blue main color scheme. The flowers and leaves have Swarovski light grey opal 4 ...
